Little Things

29 Feb

We Take the little things for granted. If we stopped and thought why things actually happened, Why God does things for us we would be better people. Just because your phone died or computer broke does not meant God hates you, he only wants you to pay more attention to what He has in store for you. God loves you so much and he gives you so much. Just take a step back and look at what you have. You are all so very blessed. You do not need riches to be happy, but God’s love to be happy. What is the point to life if you have everything you desire already? We should be striving for Heaven to be our greatest desire not for the latest edition of the iPhone or media player. How are we suppose to live our lives for Christ when we have all of these distractions in our lives? What good is it that we continue to deny God and make Sports, electronics, people our “gods”? We need to be thankful for everything in which God has given us and give thanks to him everyday! May God grant you the ability to feel his love so that you may give your love to others who truly need it as well as the ability to realize how blessed you are and to give thanks to God and to do everything in His name.

Anxiety

22 Feb

Anxiety can get the best of you.  Whether you are on the Alter serving a Mass, or you are studying for an exam/class presentation.  It could be nerves, maybe you are not use to doing what ever it is that you are doing.  Truly, there is nothing to worry about.  If you mess up or fail, you should ask yourself if that is the worst thing that could actually happen.  Instead of worrying so much about what you look like and about wanting to make what you are doing to perfection, say a prayer and have no worries.  Doing that shall bring you closer to God.  Also, make everything you do for God and all will be okay.  If we waste our time worrying if something bad will happen then chances are something will go wrong.  Anxiety can lead to many things (sins); impatience, scrupulosity, obsession, etc.  With those, you could really ruin your life and friendships as well as other people’s lives.  We need to be aware of anxiety and what anxiety leads to so that we do not catch ourselves in a spiritual ditch.  To concur anxiety, although it was not mentioned before, keep Satan away as best as possible.  If that means going to confession more than once a month, praying more, going to Mass more often, etc, than by all means please do so!  Satan is the main cause of anxiety and he will do everything and anything to deceive you to think different.  I pray that you may have the courage to stand up against evil and to fight temptation and Satan’s evil ways so that you and everyone within the world may live an anxiety free life.  Through the Angels and Saints, I ask their intercessions to God the Almighty Father in Heaven, to hear our prayers and to lead us to our Salvation.

Give Thanks to God for Everything!

Bad Days

29 Jan

Sometimes we just have bad days…You feel like the whole world is out to get you, no one likes you, but you’re wrong. When you feel down always remember that it is Satan who is trying to harden your heart so you do not feel the love of God and he does it in a way to make you think it’s others that don’t like you because he doesn’t want you to know it’s him. When you realize that, pray because that will let him know you know he exists which is the worst nightmare for the Devil.  Also, remember that God always Loves you and is there when you feel alone!  Well, I have one thing to say, Watch out Satan because I believe you exist and I am not afraid! Here’s to bad days!

Love All

21 Jan

Love all that we have, all we are given, all that we love, everything and everyone with all of our heart. Then, God’s love will come into your heart and your worries will be taken care of. If we loved everything and everyone the way God loves us, this world would be in a different position. Be reminded that the Power of Faith and Prayer are beautiful gifts and when used correctly, can do things that are only imaginable. With faith in God, anything is possible. So love everything and everyone as God would love you. For you never know if the homeless person begging for money or that really annoying person in front of you in the grocery line is Christ himself testing you. Give all you have because Christ will reward you.

Suffering

10 Dec

With Adam and Eve having given mankind original sin, they also brought upon many other terrible things.  To sum up the many things, we can call those things “suffering”.  We suffer daily from many things like, sickness, disease, through emotions, in a physical sense, and much more.  We suffer not only because of Adam and Eve, but because Satan will do anything to keep us from coming closer to God.  God won’t give us more than we can handle and He allows us to suffer so that we may grow stronger in faith.  While Satan brings forth the suffering, God will bring good out of every bad situation.  Don’t be afraid of suffering, because the more you are afraid of it, the more you are prone to it.  If you’re feeling depressed, listen to some good music or pray.  You might want to pick up a spiritual director, try reading the Bible.  There are many ways that you can get over emotional suffering.  A lot of times we over think things and are paranoid about things when we really just need to relax and know that everything will be okay!  If you feel that your suffering is overbearing, know that you are doing the right thing (God’s Will) and Satan realizes it.  When Satan realizes that you are coming closer to God he will try to stop you because Satan cannot stand to see anyone do the Will of God.  Suffering is not necessarily a bad thing, and we need to go through it to have a closer relationship with God, so that in the end, we may be Saints and spend eternal life with God in Heaven.

Work Hard, Play Hard, Pray Hard

7 Dec

For us, it is easy to go out and play hard and work hard to get what we need.  But, do we really pray hard?  I cannot tell you if you pray or do not pray because I am not you.  But what I can tell you is that there is always room to pray harder.  Sometimes we think that a little bit of pray each day is enough.  Which it truly can be enough but it is that extra effort that we should put in that will give us what we need.  We need God in our lives!  Without God sounds horrific to me.  If we can go to work and put in some over time because the product needs to be finished, if we are playing in a sports game and the game goes into extra innings or over time so that the game may be finished, than we can go into extra innings/overtime with prayer so that our soul may be fulfilled.  Often people get the idea that God wont listen to me because I sinned.  “Jesus is the friends of sinners” as the Christian Rock band, Casting Crowns states in their song  Jesus, Friend of Sinners from the Album, Come to The Well.  We need to remember that Christ loves sinners and gives them graces to be closer to him.  Who is a sinner?  All of us!  Since we all sin, Jesus loves all of us and we should never be afraid to pray to him because he is always listening.  To pray hard is to help your soul come to Christ.  We must play hard so that we can enjoy what we are playing.  We must work hard so that we can provide for our families, so that we can receive good grades in school and get accepted to a good college and to build our knowledge so that our skills may be helpful to the country/world.  Finally, and most importantly, we must pray hard so that we may live our lives as Christ did his.  So that we may live to do His will and not ours.  So that we may help and love others as Christ does for us.  So that we may grow our faith in Christ to help those who are having a hard time believing.  May the grace of Christ shine down forth on you and give you his love so that you may love everyone as he does, and may he give you the gift of strong prayer so that your faith is constantly growing.
